Comfort where you want it. Technology where you need it.
Outdoor apparel that’s happy to play a supporting role in your daily achievements. Casual comfort, versatility, easy wearability, and technology when you need it.
DriWay™ textile technology helps keep you dry and moving freely with a wicking, 4-way stretch micro-weave fabric that’s light as air.
DriWay technology pulls moisture away from the skin and disperses it across the fabric’s surface, where it can evaporate more easily.
Moisture Absorption: DriWay does not absorb moisture like natural fibers such as cotton. Instead, these fibers are engineered with capillary action, a process where moisture is drawn up through tiny channels within the fibers.
Moisture Transport: Once the moisture is absorbed by the DriWay fabric, it is quickly spread out over a larger surface area. This happens because of the capillary action, which moves the moisture from the skin to the outer surface of the fabric.
Evaporation: By spreading the moisture across the fabric’s surface, DriWay’s wicking technology increases the rate of evaporation. The moisture evaporates into the air, keeping the fabric—and therefore the wearer—dry.
Breathability: DriWay is designed to be breathable, allowing air to circulate through the fabric and further aiding in the evaporation process.
SölShield™ is Schël’s line of UV blocking apparel, with a ultra-tight weave specially designed to block or reduce the penetration of ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun. SölShield also maintains its UV protective qualities both wet and dry.
SölShield fabrics help protect the skin from harmful effects such as sunburn and long-term damage. SölShield has a very high Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) rating, which indicates how much UV radiation can pass through the fabric.
Material Composition & Weave: SölShield consists of tightly woven synthetic fibers like polyester and nylon effective at blocking UV rays compared to loosely woven or natural fibers.
Treatments and Coatings: Many SölShield fabrics are treated with UV-blocking agents during manufacturing, which can significantly increase their UPF rating.
Moisture and Stretch: When fabrics get wet or are stretched, their UV protection can decrease because the fibers can become less dense, allowing more UV rays to pass through. SölShield’s high-quality UV-protective fabrics are designed to maintain their protective properties even when wet.
